Webcast only, since WRUW's transmitter site was (and still is) without power due to a fire there. No real concept.

shortbread tin reverb

Since I needed some more (DIY) effects for the recording, I decided to throw together this clunky excuse for plate reverb:

plate reverb

I was inspired a little bit by this post over at Analog Industries, but I didn’t use any cucumber.

I think I’m still going to use the laundry chute as a reverb at some point.

a cold wave demo on a cold day

Here’s a little something from the whatever it is that I’m working on: thingdemo.mp3

Bass Drum: ADV-Bass

Bassline: Sound Lab Minisynth

(both controlled by the Arduino Sequencer in Drum Mode)

FM-y noises: Arduino Pocket Piano

The mix really isn’t properly done. I just wanted to get something out there. Have fun!

More projects to build!

November 6, 2008 in General by glacial23

If for no other reason than to replace the Snare+ that I looted the SN76477 out of for the SN-Voice, I decided to go ahead and grab a PCB for the Thomas Henry Mega Percussive Synthesizer from the electro-music store. The fact that I already have all the ICs on hand may have contributed somewhat ;-)

Speaking of the SN-Voice, all that’s left to do on the PCB is the tempco – still need to get that. Haven’t had a lot of free time for DIY, though I did manage to build a cabinet slightly wrongly (it’s too short)- I think this one’s going to be for odd designs, and I’ll build another for MOTM-height modules (like the SN-voice, etc,)

No matter what you're doing, the mix always improves when you drop in a bad zombie movie.
