{"id":851,"date":"2011-05-13T01:04:42","date_gmt":"2011-05-13T05:04:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.glacialcommunications.com\/news\/?p=851"},"modified":"2011-05-13T01:04:42","modified_gmt":"2011-05-13T05:04:42","slug":"recent-happenings-may-2011-edition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.glacialcommunications.com\/news\/2011\/05\/recent-happenings-may-2011-edition\/","title":{"rendered":"Recent Happenings (May 2011 Edition)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What&#8217;s happened since the last update (Jan. 30th)?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Played two shows at bela dubby in February.<\/li>\n<li>Did the RPM Challenge album &#8211; it&#8217;s called Parallax (Catalog #GLAC-22), and you can get it <a href=\"http:\/\/glacialcommunications.bandcamp.com\/album\/parallax\">here on Bandcamp<\/a>, and it features those two February performances and some other new material.<\/li>\n<li>Been slowly puttering on building some new gear, but it&#8217;s taking a while, with a lot of other projects getting in the way.<\/li>\n<li>And lastly, on May 3rd, I played at the <a href=\"http:\/\/grogshop.gs\">Grog Shop<\/a>, opening for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beatsantique.com\">Beats Antique<\/a>. It was a little surreal to be playing on the same stage where I&#8217;ve seen bands like Meat Beat Manifesto play. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the week or so since I started this post, I&#8217;ve gotten the audio from the show cleaned up and available here: <a href=\"http:\/\/glacialcommunications.bandcamp.com\/album\/live-at-the-grog-shop-5-3-2011\">Live at the Grog Shop 5\/3\/2011<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve also started doing some CDR releases of some of the catalog. Currently DIY Volume I and II are available that way (in fancy envelope packaging), and Parallax should be on CDR soon.
